What is Physical Therapy? It is therapy for the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and physical function, impairment or disability that utilizes therapeutic exercise, modalities, education and training. Physical Therapists have 6+ years of schooling and most hold a Doctorate degree.
At Therapy Partners, we firmly believe in Manual Physical Therapy. Hands on care has been proven to help with rehabilitation. Here at Therapy Partners, it is an essential part of rehab for most of our patients with a wide variety of injuries.
Depending on your needs, manual techniques can include: soft tissue mobilization, trigger point release, joint mobilization, Myofascial release, and more. By using these techniques before exercise or stretching, your body will be better able to retrain itself with less discomfort. At other times, we reserve our hands-on work for the end of your session to relax any muscle or joint irritation that may be noted.
While insurance typically covers Physical Therapy services, we strive to confirm your benefits with you at the start of your care. Insurance programs vary from plan to plan. We strongly suggest contacting your insurance carrier to discuss your Physical Therapy benefits with them. Manual Physical Therapy does not require any specific insurance authorization.
